Things were going slower in New York,and with heroes like Spider-Man and Kara,and even reports of Batman and The Green Arrow,Clark felt this wouldn't make much of a difference. He was needed ELSEWHERE... Suicide Slum,to be precise. Superman stopped,mid-flight,and surveyed the area,using his x-ray vision. He could hear the screams from Central Park....Where He left Lois,while she was getting a hot dog. She'd kill him.... He stopped thinking about it.Now wasn't the time... Just then,Superman spotted something in the distance.Something....big. His eyes widened,a little,realising who it was. "Metallo..."He said to himself. John Corben.Metallo.One of the worst people Superman had ever faced was heading right for him. And considering Metallo's heart was made of Kryptonite...That wasn't a good thing. However,Clark wasn't one to run.It was the SMART thing to do....but....Maybe Clark could make this work. So,Without another thought,Superman blasted off,heading right for Corben aswell. He focused on Corben's chest,which held the Kryptonite,and decided to slam into it,to keep it shut... "Not So Fast,Supes."Metallo cackled,as his eyes started glowing. Superman's eyes widened.He had forgotten of Corben's ability to shoot Kryptonite beams from his eyes. Superman spun,just enough to avoid the huge blast. He looked back,only to see it hit a building.There were probably people in the building. IDIOT! Superman turned back around,only to be met by a face full of Kryptonite. Superman tumbled back,weakened.His body felt like it was burning.His muscles were SCREAMING.And ontop of all that,He was slowly,but surely,losing the ability to fly. He eventually landed on a nearby building,out of breath. Superman looked up,to see Corben,heading towards him. "Whats a matter,Superman?You look a little green..."Metallo said,sadistically.
