Erik Lehnsherr, having just arrived in Gotham City by Taxi cab, roams the streets in, well street clothes. He adjusts his light-brown hat and fixes the collar on his matching overcoat. Walking among the humans and different shops and cafes, he realizes just how horrible Gotham is, even with the constant new reports on the crime activity, he never expected things to be this bad. He had time to spare, so he decided t go into a nearby coffee shop and book store, if you could call it that. Before he even entered through the door which was less than sturdy, he got several interesting stares. After looking through the rather poor selection of books, he decided to just go with a newspaper from the magazine section, took a seat in a booth, which was torn with white stuffing poking out of it, and began to read. A very nice waitress took his order of coffee. He wondered what a meek woman was doing in such a rough part of town, well, from what he had been reading, the whole city seem to be rough. She returned a short time later with coffee and a smile. "Time to spare..", he thought,"..Then I'll get started.." He took one last look around across the poorly kept cafe and to the unsavory individuals eying him over. "Wont be easy." and he turned back to his newspaper and continued on an article about "The Batman" and his latest activities.
